Four teenagers in high school come across an old video game console and are transported into the jungle setting of the game, assuming the roles of the adult avatars they selected. They soon realize that playing Jumanji is not just a game, but a matter of survival. In order to defeat the game and return to the real world, they embark on the most perilous journey of their lives. They must uncover what Alan Parrish left behind 20 years ago, and reconsider their self-perceptions or they will be trapped in the game forever.
