Rayvanny and Diamond Platnumz to Apply for Kenyan Citizenship
Rayvanny has revealed that he and Diamond Platnumz had planned to apply for Kenyan citizenship after the National Arts Council (BASATA) banned them from performing shows within and outside the country for an unspecified period in 2018.

On December 18, 2018, BASATA decided to ban them after the artists disobeyed an order from the authorities overseeing artistic activities in the country by engaging in actions that violated ethical standards.
The song ‘Mwanza’ is what got them into trouble, as the artists were seen on stage at the Wasafi Festival 2018 in Mwanza performing the banned song.”
