Barakah The Prince Pursuing a Telecom Engineering Degree
On Tuesday (December 25), the singer of ‘Goodbye’ used an Instagram story to announce this news.
@barakahtheprince_ told @enkyfrank that he holds a diploma in ‘Telecommunications Engineering,’ obtained from St. Joseph University in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania.

The Prince stated that his goal in returning to school is to earn his first degree and to further his education beyond the realm of the music industry.
The singer, who has been a prominent figure in Bongo Flava for a long time, revealed that he decided to interrupt his studies after finding a significant opportunity in music in 2015 (the year he won the KTMA award for Best Emerging Artist).
Being one of the top artists in Bongo Flava and also a telecommunications engineer seems like a smart move. Barakah has disclosed another influential aspect of his personality that can serve as an example. Although he is not the first Bongo artist to have a background in technology, Barakah continues to inspire and remind his fellow artists that there is life beyond art, and they should be open to returning to school when circumstances allow. If music pays well and can cover a singer’s tuition fees, it’s not a bad idea to have educated artists in challenging fields that may not be easy to expect. Barakah has demonstrated maturity by seeking to enhance the value of his name.
Barakah The Prince is currently making waves with his song ‘Goodbye,’ a track that brought him back into the spotlight after a long hiatus.
